Good news for Parent visa applicants: the Department of Home Affairs has introduced new online services to make managing your paper-based application a whole lot easier.
Although Parent visa applications must still be lodged using a paper form, you can now import your application into ImmiAccount once the Department acknowledges they’ve received it. And with that, a whole new world of online convenience opens up.
Why Import Your Application into ImmiAccount?
By linking your paper application to ImmiAccount, you’ll have access to a range of online tools designed to save you time and help you stay in control of your visa journey. Once imported, you can:
- Upload supporting documents directly without sending mountains of paperwork by post.
- Receive and view messages from the Department in one secure spot.
- Update your personal details easily if your circumstances change.
- Check your application status whenever curiosity strikes (no need to call or email for updates).
Who can use these new online services?
All new Parent Visa applications and existing ones. However, there’s a small exception: Parent (subclass 103) applications lodged before November 2018 won’t be able to use these online features.
